Members from the Senior Outreach FSU Leadership Group, namely Mike Mikaelian, Juan Carballo Sanchez, Marc Toussaint, and Michiaha Ivey taught seniors at the Tallahassee Senior Center on July 2nd to use Instagram filters, set up their Iphones, and activate their accounts.

Mike  helped Miss Iris, a 95 year old resident,  set up her phone and taught her how to take pictures. Ms. Iris commented, “This session  has been extremely helpful. There is so much that we don’t know and reading through books doesn’t seem to help any. I’m 95, this is all gibberish to me… I will be back next week!” Mike sat with Ms. Iris for the entire duration of the session and ensured that she received the assistance that she needed. Before she came to the session her phone was deactivated, but Mike took the time to call the phone numbers needed to get her accounts set up.

Marc assisted one of the Tallahassee Senior Center staff members with discovering the features of her new iPhone.

Michiaha assisted two gentlemen. One needed help resetting his Amazon Fire tablet and setting up the accounts. Another simply wanted to know how to block numbers on his phone while it was on silent mode.

Juan taught another member  how to use Instagram filters and stickers.

On behalf of BloggingFSU, I would like to thank these four gentlemen for volunteering at the Tallahassee Senior Center.
